Fiery
Ribs

Ingredients:
1 kg pork or beef ribs(2
lbs)
The juice of 1 lemon
750 ml water(3 cups)
250 ml Regular Bar-B-Que Sauce(1 cup)
5 ml All Purpose Seasoning (1 tsp.)
2.5 ml pureed ginger(½ tsp.)
30 ml orange juice(2 tbsp.)
15-20 ml Basils Fire and
Brimstone(hot) (1-1 ½ tbsp.)
15 ml freshly chopped green onions(1 tbsp.)
Note: have
the butcher cut the ribs into bite size pieces if
you like it that way.
Method:
Rub
lemon juice into ribs and let sit for about 5
minutes. Rinse completely.
To a pot of boiling water, add ribs, and
cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and
drain.
In a microwave safe dish, mix the
remaining ingredients (except for the green
onions) together. Microwave on HIGH for about two
minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour the mixture over the ribs, return to
the stove top or place in a skillet. Cook for
about 15 more minutes or until most of the sauce
thickens. You may need to add a touch more water
while the ribs are cooking.
Remove from heat, place on a serving dish,
and garnish with green onions.
